2004 Ridge California Buchignani Ranch

Ridge 2004 California Buchignani Ranch Zinfandel.

I frakkin love Ridge. What a great winemaker. This was our first delivery in our ATP Ridge wine club. Two bottles - gonna keep one for another couple years, and I'd buy another one right now if I could find one.

Origin -Sonoma

General Description - Wonderful wine. LONG finish. Huge taste bump. big ass wine. Oddly, perhaps better the first half hour after opening than later. Not sure what that means exactly.

Alcohol - 14.4%

Where'd the Engineer get it - Ridge ATP Wine Club

What'd the Engineer spend on it: $28

Why'd the Engineer open it - with the following: veggie stir fry (bok choy, carrots (huge radioactiver suckers), green onion, red pepper, rice, black bean sauce), beet soup (carrots, onions, BEETS, chicken stock, salt, sour cream). Super homemade dinner, all vegetarian, all from our CSA.

When should the Engineer's interns drink it:
2 yrs.

Where'd the Engineer get it - Sokol Blossor Wine Club

What'd the Engineer spend on it: Think it was the $40s

Why'd the Engineer open it - with a pork tenderloin with a spicy rub (1 pt curry, 1 pt chili powder, 1 pt cumin, 2 pts brown sugar, 1/2 pt pepper), cous-cous, and broccoli. Great dinner. Didn't have to go buy any of it cause we got it all from our CSAs.
